Our country's natural resources and climate, together with its industry, developers and technology, have all combined to place Spain among the world’s wind-sector leaders.
Through its growth and consolidation, wind power is proving to be a major instrument in achieving commitments undertaken within the Kyoto protocol.
Wind power now has some major challenges ahead. Such challenges require a clear-cut approach from the companies involved together with cross-competitive integration of technical know-how and the establishment of common goals.
MAIN CHALLENGES
Ever since its foundation, the association's goals have been:
- stable framework for production earnings over the long term
- framework of administrative transparency
- co-ordinated forum for developing and managing infrastructures
COURSES OF ACTION
In order to achieve all this, the association has set the following objectives:

- To generate sector opportunities and attract investment to wind developments
PROCEDURE
All this is achieved thanks to association efforts in:
- Incorporating most sector companies: developers, manufacturers, financial institutio
- insurance companies and suppliers, among others
- Uniting and channelling members' strengths and know-how -Supporting, and receiving support from, regional wind associations
